in the 1995 halibut derby. Tom and I had 15 pounders, Dwayne’s fish
were about 10 pounds apiece. |

My biggest flattie to date, at 38 pounds. It’s a real challenge to pull a fish this size to the surface on 15 pound line-- unlike most other fish, it’s heavier than the water, so you’re working against its weight as well as its swimming and head-shaking. |
