| Sometimes when you’re cruising offshore, a school of dolphins comes up and swims alongside the boat for a while. If you’re lucky you can get a good picture. |

| Often they’ll cruise along beside the boat, and when the water’s glassy you can watch them playing as they pace the boat. |

| Once when I was out tuna fishing, some orcas (killer whales) came up near the boat. These are rarely seen off southern California. I was lucky to get one good shot. |
